How to skip a task or group in a task sequence based on role?
I am using SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 and MDT 2010. We have created the MDT database and defined roles for our workstations. I am modifying our task sequence for a certain role called "Base Build" that will have minimal software installed. I want to skip the "install core applications" group in our task sequence for all "Base Build" role PCs. So, if I edit the task sequence and click on the "Install Core Applications" task and go to the Options tab, I want to add a condition that only runs that group if role is not equal to Base Build what is the syntax for the condition I put in there to skip that group? (if Role = Base Build?) Do I use an "If Statement" or a task sequence variable? Thanks! Jan PS- Links to documentation about task sequence condition syntax are also appreciated!

I think you'll need to use roles from the MDT database and assign either the base or other role to the machine and assign the apps to those roles John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|
