How to setup Major Version limit for SharePoint doc library using CSOM Powershell

Hi,

How to setup Major Version Limit for a SharePoint library using CSOM Powershell?

Any body has any idea about this?

As per below link, we cannot setup major version limit, it's a CSOM limitation.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCUQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsharepoint.stackexchange.com%2Fquestions%2F96773%2Flist-version-limits-client-side&ei=rsg3VezvJoLUoASOz4C4CA&usg=AFQjCNGTMsLm0xGD7N0Zh6aF__-gfbTeWw&sig2=MCrihOSVpYxNnSeRlZQDYQ

Is there any work around for this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Well in the worst case you can always automate IE and drive it that way. It's a rubbish option but it does work.

Edit: I wouldn't take anyone stating that CSOM cannot do anything as a good source for two reasons. Firstly CSOM is very badly documented for what you can and cannot do. Secondly the interface and capabilities are evolving, the limitations that exist, and the limitations that people know about, are changing.

As per above link, I have installed latest version Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.dll and then I was able to update the Major version.

I am just selecting this as answer only for reference for others.
