How to set site URL on WSS 2.0?
I just moved a small SharePoint Services for Windows site to a new server. The site is up and running but email notifications the server sends use http://servername/ in links instead of the site's actual URL. In our case the servername link is not valid. How do I configure the server to send links using the proper URL?

Alerts always send to the form of address in use (i.e. which URL was used to access the site in the browser) at the time the Alert was created. You will need to ask users to delete their original alerts and re-create them when accessing the server using a suitable new address. (Note: If they intend accessing the addresses in these alerts from the Internet they should create the Alert from the Internet and not from within the Intranet) 2010 Books: SPF 2010; SPS 2010; SPD 2010; InfoPath 2010; Workflow etc. 2007 Books: WSS 3.0; MOSS 2007; SPD 2007; InfoPath 2007; PerformancePoint; SSRS; Workflow Both lists also include books in French; German; Spanish with even more languages in the 2007 list.
