How to run a computer which is infected by a malware using a Boot Disk CD?

The Cryptolocker malware extortionist entered in my daughter's computer. With the help of an anti-malware mbam-setup-2.1.8.1057.exe managed somehow to limit activities of the malware. After infecting a computer, and before to use the anti-malware it was impossible to run the computer using Boot Disk. I tried to do it by several different Boot Disks, but without success. I thought that the process of running Boot Disk provides only by the BIOS, and the programs on the hard drives are not involved in these processes.

What is the mechanism of the such blocking? Is it possible to somehow bypass it?

Can you elaborate a little bit more?  What version of windows are you running? What do you mean by boot disks?  Do you mean windows recovery cds?

The cryptolocker infection should not have any effect on booting to discs as it loads with the OS not before it.

For aw00t. Thank you very much. My OS is Windows 10 since recently. You are right. It was a Win10 trick. I was advised in such cases to do a restart by holding down Shift and after this it would possible to check the startup options.
