Your list template should already be stored in the site collection's list gallery. However if you need to load it in another site collection to to it's Site Settings, select "List Template Gallery" and then click on the "Upload" button.Gary A. Bushey

Hi,1. Reuse .stp on same webapplication: you can go to particular site where you want create list. Click on site actions ->Site settings->site libraries and lists->create new content. Under custom list you can find your .stp file click on it and add a new name to your list. Provide all the details and click ok.2. Reuse .stp on other webapplication: Then u need to go to the webapplication say "http://hostname:portno/_catalogs/wp/Forms/AllItems.aspx (Web part gallery).and upload the one copied on local machine, then follow the same process as mentioned in 1 step.Regards, ReksIf this is your answer please mark as answer.

It is not a web part. You need to create a list based on the list template first and then you will see a web part for the list you just created.Gary A. Bushey

Once your list template is imported you can use it to create a new list just like you could any built-ins (like Document Library or Events). Gary A. Bushey

Hi, To create a list based on a existed list template, follow the steps: 1. Click Site Actions menu and select Site Settings. 2. In the Site Settings page, click List Template under Galleries section. 3. In the List Template Gallery, use Upload menu button to upload the list template. 4. After the template is uploaded to List Template Gallery, Click Site Actions and select Create. 5. Click the template name which you uploaded in Step 3 under the Custom Lists section. 6. Fill the required fields, then click Create to finish the process. Hope the information can be helpful. -lambertLambert Qin | Microsoft Online Support Engineer How to ask a question in the forum (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375) Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi, The feature we talked about is the same in WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007. I wonder if the content approval is enabled in the List Template Gallery. Please check Content Approval is enabled or not in List Template Gallery > Settings > Versioning Settings. If it is enabled, please try to approve the template and see if the issue is resolved. If this is not the cause of the issue, could you please upload the list template to the following workspace in order let me do further research? Workspace URL: https://sftus.one.microsoft.com/ChooseTransfer.aspx?key=578c4fad-9973-4367-adc9-a0ce07a855b3 Password: 0vGp)6SsBHUF Let me know the result if possible. -lambertLambert Qin | Microsoft Online Support Engineer How to ask a question in the forum (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375) Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Follow the steps to reuse the list on any wss or moss site.(1) Open the site where you want to use the .stp list template(2) Click on Site Actions --> Site Settings --> Modify All site Setting(3) Click on "List templates" from "Galleries" tag(4) Click on Upload --> Upload Document.(5) Click on "Browse" button and find the .stp file (where you have copied on local system) --> Click on "OK" button.(6) Now give the proper name if you want and click on "OK" button.(7) Now your template is stored in List Template Gallery.(8) Click on Site Actions --> Site Settings --> Modify All site Setting(9) Click on "Site libraries and lists" from "Site Administration" tag.(10) Click on "Create new content" link(11) Now you can find your uploaded list template in "Custom Lists" tag.(12) Click on that template name --> give proper name and click on "Create" button.(13) Your list is created with content.Regards,K Prajapati

This worked for me, it was still not appearing under custom lists, following url will open the list creation page and upon creation it will be the list based on the template (don't worry if it doesn't show the stp file, just create). For more details http://www.heathersolomon.com/blog/articles/1116.aspx Function Add to the URL Notes Create [area]/_layouts/1033/spscreate.aspx Create list in a different portal area /_layouts/1033/new.aspx?NewPageFilename=YourTemplateName.stp&ListTemplate=100&ListBaseType=0 When you save a template in a portal area and try to create a new list in a different portal area, the template will not show on the Create page. Use this URL to force it to show. More info.

I have a ".olp" file from Office Live Small Business. Is there anything I can do with that on BPOS or a premise Sharepoint installation? Perhaps I can just rename it to stp?
