How to remove report schema location and xmlns from xml format report?
Hi All, I am trying to render a report in XML format. But the report is always displaying the following on top of actual XML data. <Report xsi:schemaLocation="Report_x0020_Name_x0020_Summary.rdl http://tstrs03:16180/_vti_bin/ReportServer?http%3a%2f%2ftstrs03%3a16180%2fReport%2fReportLibrary%2fReport%2fReports+Reports%2fReport+name+Summary.rdl&rs%3AFormat=XML&rs%3ASnapshot%3Aisnull=True&rc%3ASchema=True" Name="Report Name Summary.rdl" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="Report_x0020_Name_x0020_Summary.rdl"> But I don't want to have this namespace in my XML rendered report. How can I remove just these lines from my report? Please some one help!!!! Thanks, Sandy

Hi Sandy, Attaching the name prefix is a normal behavior when you export the report to XML file, as name conflicts in XML can easily be avoided using a name prefix, which will also not influence your second usage, so it is not recommended to delete it. If you find this render method could not meet your requirement, you could also write custom rendering extension. For more information about custom rendering extension, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms154606.aspx Thanks, Challen FuChallen Fu [MSFT] MSDN Community Support | Feedback to us Get or Request Code Sample from Microsoft Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
