How to redisplay a category-axis on a column chart after it has been deleted.
Hi All, This should be simple, but I'm tearing my (limited) hair out trying to solve this. I have a combined column chart (primary Y axis) and line chart (secondary Y axis) in which the category-axis (X-Axis) was deleted. Now I want the X-Axis to re-appear. I can't seem to find an option for re-applying the X-Axis after it has been deleted. How do I do this? Thanks! --DanDJAnsc

Click the chart to select the Chart area, then your right-side you will see Defaul Chart area property grid window. 2. Click three points button at the back of CategoryAxes property, then ChartAxis Collection Editor dialog box will be open, you will see Primary and Secondary members. 3. Click Secondary member, then set the Visible property to True in Appearance node 4. Set HideLabels property to False in Labels node. Then you will see X-Axis for the secondary again. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Challen Fu

Wow! Thank you, Challen. This is incredibly obscure! I'm assuming that your statement "I got it" is an indication of how much you had to dig through to figure this out. Thanks again, your solution worked like a charm! --DanDJAnsc
