How to preserve timestamp of the document in Sharepoint server?
Hi , I found that the document when upload to Sharepoint, the timestamp will be updated.Any configuration I can preserve the timestamp of the document? Thanks

What do you mean by the timestamp of the document. If the document was created on say the 1st of January 2011 and then it was uploaded to a document library on the 1st of March 2011, then the "Created" field in SharePoint or that document will be the 1st of March 2011 as that is the first time SharePoint saw the file. Similarly "Created By" will be the person who uploaded the document not the person who wrote it. But as far as I know these two fields do not overwrite the contents of the internal (in the document) fields containing similar information as those internal fields have different names.
