How to monitor Server
Hi, I am new in SCE I don't know how to monitor servers / Desktops / Network devices. i have added one desktop in SCE but how to monitor CPU / RAM / HDD / N/W interface utilization can any one guide me ?

Hi Jay, After you pushing agent to client, the cilent information will be displayed in SCE console - Monitoring spaces. For example, Memory Utilization, if you client OS is Windows Server (2000 or 2003), then you can see the performance in SCE console- monitoring space - Microsoft Windows Server - Performance - Memory Utilization (Page File). You will find some performance views or health states are blank, because some monitors are not enabled by default. You can enable monitors as you need in SCE console - Authoring space - Management Pack Objects - Monitors, right click the monitor which you want to enable and choose "Overrides" - "Override the monitor" - "For all objects and type", enable the monitor. Also, you can import Management Pack for monitoring some specfic products like Exchange server, Sharepoint server. hi,I have followed your steps but still I am not able to monitor my client. My server and client OS is Windows2008 Ent. Server.

Hi Jay, For Monitoring Windows Server 2008, please import latest Windows Server Operating System Management Pack from this link: Download details: Windows Server Operating System MP for OpsMgr 2007 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3529D233-5E3E-4B51-8F66-5D6F27005EC3&displaylang=en&displaylang=en You can import management pack in SCE console - administration pane.
