How to merge 2 datasets into one?
I'm converting actuate report to SSRS 2005. In actuate, there is a built in functionly/control called single input filter where we can merge 2 datasets into one and show the output into one table region. is something similar can be done in SSRS 2005? Attached is report output and queries used in Actuate. Pls. help me if you can. Thank you.

SSRS can only have one dataset per table/matrix/tablix. You should be combining these datasets in the source. If they are from different servers, you could use a linked server (but be careful of security and peformance concerns), or SSRS is capable of reading a dataset from a SSIS package which can point at different connection types (eg csv, sql server, oracle etc) and combine them.my blog http://karlberan.wordpress.com/
