How to link two recurrence events to one meeting workspace
Hi everybody, I have two recurrence events created in Calendar. Is there any way to link them to one meeting workspace? I did not manage to do so even via SharePoint API - method SPMeeting.LinkWithEvent throws an error if the workspace is already linked to another event. However, if user edits certain occurrence of recurrence event - SharePoint creates new recurrence with the link to the same workspace - so i believe it should be possible..

Hi Natalia, You can use Meeting Workspace to organize meetings. Please refer http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/create-a-meeting-workspace-site-HA010065620.aspx and in that article specially look in to - Create or link to a Meeting Workspace site when you create an event - which is answer to your question hthWarm Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com/

Hi Pratik Vyas, Thank you for your answer. I am using Meeting Workspace. The problem is I want to create complex scheduled meeting series and link them to ONE meeting workspace, e.g. - meetings in March: every Monday 9am and every Friday 10am - meetings in April: every Tuesday 8am and every Thursday 11am This is definitely two recurrences. However, I cannot link the second recurrence to the meeting workspace created for the first one. Link to a Meeting Workspace site option when creating the second event does not include my initial workspace in the list because this workspace is already linked.

Finally, I've found an answer. It turned out, two recurrences could not be linked to one Meeting Workspace (neither through GUI or API). However, single events can be linked. Thus workaround for a complex schedule is to create occurrences as single events and link them to one Meeting Workspace.
