MOSS does give you audit reports at the site collection level, may be this event is captured there. You should plan to restrict site owner rights to only few individuals, and have a feature to capture site deletes http://governance.codeplex.com/. Regards, Mahesh

You need to write an event receiver for the site delete action to capture that information. -SharePointNinja

If you have site collection admin rights, at the root of your site collection go to Site Actions > Site Settings. Under Site Collection Administration select Audit Log Reports. Under View Auditing Reporting select Content Activity Reports. Open the file in Excel. The Report Data tab lists all of the deleted items, including sites, as well as who deleted them and when.

Hi, According to your description, I suggest that you should set Configure Audit Settings to audit specify the event. Site Action-> Site Settings-> select collection audit settings under the Site Collection Administration-> choose the event you want to audit. In addition, Muhimbi SharePoint Audit provides an easy way to audit the whole farm. Please refer to it: http://www.muhimbi.com/Products/SharePoint-Audit.aspx Best regards David Hu
