How to export keywords from SharePoint 2010 and import into SharePoint 2013

Hi All,

We have a requirement wherein a lot of list items and folders in different libraries and lists are fed with keywords for easy searchability.  Not to confuse, I am mentioning the site column of Enterprise Keywords here which is being used in the lists and libraries.  Is there a place where we can export and import these onto SharePoint 2013 sites/libraries or even keep it as a reference.  Parallelly, is there a powershell script that I can use to extract these keywords onto a CSV for referential purpose?

Hi Shonilchi,

As your description, my understanding is that you want to export keywords from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. Is it right?

You can share the managed metadata service application of SharePoint 2010 with SharePoint 2013, then you can use the shared managed metadata service application containing keywords in SharePoint 2013.

More information about sharing managed metadata service application across farms, you can refer to the link:

And you can extract these keywords into a CSV using PowerShell commands or a tool.
