How to export in Excel with Freezing Column and Headers using SSRS 2008
Hi, I want to freeze the Rows and columns similar to what you can do in Excel Where once freeze is done the rows columns data will remain fixed and other data will scroll. I want this effect from ssrs Excel export option is it possible? if yes how to do this. Thanks

Hi Sanjee, Thanks for the reply!. I have tried steps provided in that and its shows freeze in the report manager view. But when I export to excel its not working Our requirement is freeze rows and columns in excel when we export it from report. I found in other forum that we can put the column headers in the report "Header section" and it will be freeze in the excel. But how to freeze the columns i.e. when I scroll towards the right side the first 2 columns should remain fixed in Excel after export not in the report viewer!. Thanks.

Hi Shivshanker_Cheral, Yes, if we want to freeze headers after export the report to Excel format, we can add the table headers on the page header section. Currently, we cannot directly freeze the columns after export a report to Excel format. To work around this, we can freeze the columns in Excel level.
