How to do SSIS logging for different ETLS into the same log database?
Hi,
I asked this question before but noone answered. So I try it again.
I use VIsual Studio 2008 and the SQL Server 2008.
I have an ETL process with logging on the SQL server. For the logging I just created an empty database. The ETL process then created a table dbo.syssuslog for the log. What if I have two different ETL processes with logging, do they write in teh same table?
I would like them to write in two different tables in the same log database.
Is this possible?Greetings from No Planet!

Yes, you can only have one ssislog database per instance and all ssis logging will go to the same table. I haven't tried this, but i wonder if you can set up an instead of trigger on the table which is created and distribute the INSERTs that way?every day is a school day

Why don't you use 1 table? The package (id) is logged so you know which package caused the event. Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question | My SSIS Blog:
