We have a list that we want to display on two different Sharepoint (SP2013) sites. In Sharepoint 2010 there were an option to share lists across sites through Sharepoint designer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TntwRm78b_4

Problem is that it seems that Microsoft has removed this option in Sharepoint 2013. Do anyone have any suggestions how to do this in the newer version?

Use cross site publishing feature. Check this

We were missing the option Catalog Settings under List Settings.
Been trying to enable the feature Cross Site Collection Publishing for the Site collection. The feature is not in the list to be activated under Site Settings --> Site collection features. Do anyone know the reason?

For leveraging the Cross Site Collection Publishing, we need to create a product catalog site collection which is a author site collection and one or more publishing portals which will consume the data. The following blog gives a detailed overview and steps to utilize the same:
