How to create a Recovery task in SCOM on a windows service which does NOT use Local system to start the service
Hi, I am monitoring a service which gets started with a service account. If the service is stopped, I would like to create a recovery task to restart it. Has anyone created a recovery tasks which reuqires an account to start the service? Thanks

it doesnt matter if the service doesn't start with "system". That are settings of the service itself that SCOM doesn't need to know about. What does matter is that "system" (or your AA) is allowed to start the service. System has those rights by default, but can be changed (allthough an automatically start after a reboot would probably fail, so i cant think of a reason why anyone would do that).Rob Korving http://jama00.wordpress.com/
