How to control the X-Axis label intervals with Date Format
HI all i have a requirement where i have to show the data in a chart for every minute between a start and end time of a trade. if that trade is a intraday i have to show the data for every hour and if its more than a day i have to show it based on day. i was trying this but i couldnt achieve it using a category chart as i was getting soem random dates which is not making any sence to the chart For Example I have trade from 21 march to 30 march. I have to show the axis points as 21march ,22march ,23march ,24march ...30march but it is coming up as 22march 24march 27 march 30march. And for intraday the same thing instead of days i am getting some random hours. I tried the scalar chart works pretty good for intraday trades but if its like more than 10 days i am getting some weired straight lines between the days staurday and sunday since the sclar type axis wont care about the data points i have. I am kind of confused can anyone suggest me some ideas or refrences on doing this. Please let me know if i am not clear with the question.

Hi There Thanks for your posting. Please go to your x-axis properties and go to axis option and select scalar/number dates Now please select interval type as day and select interval as 1 I hope this will help Many thanks Syed Qazafi Anjum

Thanks for you prompt replysyed but there is a problem using scalar lets say i have to show the data from march 21st 2012 to march 30 2012 i wont have any data for march 24 and march 25 since they are weekend's but when i use scalar it is showing a straign line from March23 to march 26 according to the requirement i should not show those dates since there wont be any trading in those dates but using scalar will always have those weekend dates in xaxis with a straight line hope you understand.

Hi Rajupenmetsa, Thanks for your posting. Based on your scenario, you can configure the Horizontal Axis to use the "Category" type axis, then set the "Interval type" to "Days" and set the "Interval" value to "1". In this way, the chart X-Axis will only display the dates that are stored in the database table and display each data point by Day. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
