How to change the upload size limit for MOSS 2007 SP2 running on Windows 2003 R2
Hi, I’m running MOSS 2007 SP2 Standard on a Windows 2003 R2 server and I have tried everything I could find to change the upload size limit and nothing works. I would like to increase the upload size to 1.5G and understand that max upload size is 2G. Any help is much appreciated. Regards,DMC2

Hi DMC2, Do you really want to increase the upload size to 1.5G? I do not think it is good to put such big file into SharePoint, especially many of them. The more you increase the file upload size, the more probability that some users have time outs when uploading over slow bandwidth. The files are stored to the database, if the file upload size is too big, you can hard control the content database size. Another thing need to be considered is your server load when loading the files. Here is a good article to discuss the topic: Working with large files (http://www.lcbridge.nl/vision/2008/largefiles.htm). Hope the information can be helpful. HI Lambert, This Portal will only be used in house and very infrequently. We needed the document management capabilities and usage reporting functionality provided with MOSS. Thx, DMC2
