How to change the install account.
I have a new implementation (single site with remote SQL instance running in mixed mode – Windows 2008 R2 standalone server), the client wants to change the user name and password of the account used to install the application. The user account used to install the application is a domain user account and local admin to both the SCCM site and DB servers. The only item I having specified the install user account was during setup (remote DB configuration). The question is what else will break if they change the user name and password of the account used to install the application? Thanks, MOrtizMOrtiz

Hi, Password changes is not a problem. But before you start modifying/deliting the user I would create a SCCM Admin group and clone all the class/instance rights from the Install account. Take a look at this security post http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632332.aspx before you start.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
