How to change the MS-SMS-Server-Locator-Point in SCCM 2012 fomr SCCM 2007

We are upgrading from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 R2.  We are creating a new site name.  So we are standing up a complete new instance of SCCM 2012.  We are having some client push issues which caused me to look into the AD attributes for SCCM.  I noticed that the MS-SMS-Server-Locator-Point (SMS-SLP-{Site}-{Server}) class record is pointed to m old SCCM 2007 instance that is still in production.  Is there a way to change this or add a new record for the SCCM 2012 instance?  The SCCM 2012 SMS-SLP locator record is not there.

Thanks,

There is no SLP role in CM12. That function is now added to the MP role. The CM07 SLP entry should not cause any issues though.

I would delete the SLP record though.
