Again that would depend on the user. sdk/config user accounts might be some additional work (follow the procedure in documentation), but many action and runas accounts you can change more easy. In that case you do not need to hack the database for instance to insert accounts and stuff. If that is what you mean by your question. What caused you to want to change all these accounts by the way? And you do mean changing the account name and not just the password of the account, right? Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)

I would like to add information about the Run As Account and Data Warehouse Account: http://blogs.technet.com/b/randymonteleone/archive/2010/03/12/changing-password-on-scom-data-warehouse-run-as-accounts.aspx http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/operationsmanagergeneral/thread/74a4b954-28f4-4b32-84bb-9dd6b3946669Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Hi, It this case all you need is that: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc540429.aspx You don't need to change anything on a SQL Server.http://OpsMgr.ru/

Aha, in that case it is easier. Good thing I asked :-) Folow the link provided by Alexey and you will be back in business! Perhaps it is a good thing to also backup the RMS encryption key again (using securestoragebackup.exe) and the SQL Report Services encryption key by using the sql report services configuration tool from your start menu. They also take a password while saving so might be good to make a new backup with a password you remember. I usually go for the password used by the SDK account. Thats something I can remember. Good luck!Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)

I wouldnt do that. For number 1 I use the local system accont, and when required by several management packs (sql, exchange, ad, dns for instance) I use runas accounts fr the domain. For number 2 I always use the SDK account. For number 3 I use the default scom action account (set at install), many times this is a domain admin although this is not always best practise, but at least you will be able to push agents :-). For number 4 I mostly go for the SDK account again. But dont use 1 account for everything. In small environments I use the SDK account for anything database related within scom (reporting services, sdk/config account, datawarehouse and those things). Do not use it for everything.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)
