How to change 'Null' label of the checkbox in the parameter area
Hi, we are running SSRS 2008. My management asked me if I can change the label of 'NULL' to 'All' for the check box that is located next to the report parameters. They said that users may not understand 'NULL' label means. Is it possible to do? This is to do with datetime fields, where we want to allow them to be blank ( and data is returned for all dates), so we had to set the allow null flag. thanks! Daniel

Sorry, Daniel, there isn't much flexibility with the built-in parameter labelling - not if you are using a date/time parameter type and want to use the native date picker control. Another idea would be to add a second report parameter to allow the user to select "All" or "Use Selected Date" and then use logic in your query to ignore the date parameter value if "All" were selected from this other parameter list. You can give your date parameter a valid default value and then just ignore it and not worry about allowing Null. I hope this helpsPaul Turley, MVP [Hitachi Consulting] SQLServerBIBlog.com
