How to align the text in justify format In SQL server Reporting Services? Is there any code to do so?

Hi, I suppose that with justify you mean "fit to entire line" format. This is not available in reporting services. There is only Left, Center and Right. Greetz, Geert Geert VerhoevenConsultant @ Ausy Belgium My Personal Blog

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Yes, of course, i knew there was no option to justify the text in SQL Server Reporting Services. But i am in need to apply justify format for my text in one of my reports. Hence i alsoask "Is there any code to do so?". If u came to know about this, kindly do reply me. Kalaivani.

Hi, I'm afraid that if you want to have this kind of functionality, you will need to write a custom control. Here is an example: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345265.aspx. The issue with custom controls is that it needs to be known by all the reportservers that will render your report. Greetz, Geert Geert VerhoevenConsultant @ Ausy Belgium My Personal Blog

Unfortunately this feature didn't make the cut for SSRS 2008 . Your options are still in 3rd party solutions or custom controls. Regards. Mike

Which '3rd party solutions or custom controls' are you referring to?

I agree! Oracle Reports has had this feature for about 10 years! It's unnacceptable not to have a solution for this issue for such a long time, and not to have even a workaround. Very diappointing.

How can this be? This is outrageous. ALMOST 4 YEARS and Microsoft isn't able to implement something so simple? What are you guys doing? What a shame. To everybody having the same problem : ditch SSRS and use Crystal Reports !!!

There is a solution in SSRS. Drag a text box onto the report and set its expression to the datafield. the datafield could be database or calculated field. Just setting the normal LTR alignment for the textbox will display the text in a justified manner.
