How to add a line to the cell
I am going to put a line to one cell within the table. But after dragging to the cell, it splits the cell automatically. It is not my purpose. How could I make it just a line? Thanks!

Hi,
I don't know the exactly purpose of your line at your report but there
are several possibilities.
here are 2 examples:
-add a rectangle into you cell then you will be able to draw a line
-use the cell(text box) property - border, to draw a line at the button/top/right or left border
please
let me know if that was helpful

It is weird that if I put the rectange to the cell, the rectange will be full of the cell. Could I keep the size of the rectange even drag it into the cell?

Hi,
so far I know you can not change the size of the rectangle.
I don't know exactly what you try to accomplish, maybe you can describe it a little
more.
you can also add a text box or table to your cell after adding a rectangle.

Hello sammer,
You can try using a background pic.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,

Hi wmel73,
As a simple workaround:
1.Double click the cell in table to have the cursor in the cell.
2.With the key shift pressed, click on "-" key continuous to get a fluent line as long as you need.
Thanks,
