It is possible, but not a good idea to use IP addresses.
But whatever the reason, if really have to, you can extend your SharePoint web application from Central admin, and use the IP Address in place of the "host name" parameter. Under "Manage Web Applications", select the web application and click on "Extend". You may use port 80 or other ports, and specify the zone type - Internet, Extranet, Custom, etc. Extending the web application automatically creates an Alternate Access Mapping as well. Hope this is only for testing very specific scenarios.
Hi,
Unfortunately it doesn't work for me.
I extended the web application and AAM is updated by new host header (http://192.168.10.23:82)
But I can't access to site via IP address.
three steps:
1. Add the AAM in the Configure alternate access mappings
2. Add IIS binding with the ip
3. Disable the Request Services in Server in the Manage Services in Server
