How to Upgrade SCCM to SP2
All,I have a One Primary Siteand a one Secondary Site .I want to upgrade to SCCM SP2 so that I can begin deploying Windows 7 with SCCM OSD.However, I have heard stories about users installing SP2, and itcausing the database server to consistently spike in utilization, etc.Does anyone have any experience (Be it good or bad) with uprading to SCCM SP2?Also, can someone recommend the steps involved with how to upgrade to SCCM SP2? Do I need to install it on just my primary site server? or do I need to install it on my Secondary Site Server as well? Also, what is necessary to get OSD to work with Windows 7? Do I need to uninstall the current WAIK i have installed and install the latest one which supports Windows 7? and if so, what is the process for doing that? Also, what do I need to do with the Boot Images I have, etc?Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Systems Admin

Guess what. That was already asked here in the forums: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrsetup/thread/0cc0712d-54a0-4193-bb11-1f59de736353You have to upgrade "top down" (central/primaries first, then secondaries, then clients). See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee344152.aspxI've read numerous times that WAIK should be uninstalled manually before upgrading to SP2, but I haven't seen any issues with it (on >10 sites upgraded). WAIK will be automatically uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest version. Boot images will be automatically updated.
