The R3 release is available on the MSVL site. The public site only has an eval version available for download. I don't think R3 has been replicated to msdn yet...

That's correct, it's not a public download because it's not free. You must have SA or and EA to get R3. If you have either of those then you have access to MVLS. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

Not sure about partners. Last I heard it wasn't on msdn or technet yet, my guess would be it will hit the partner site at that time but that's just a guess. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

mean to say for those who bought SCCM 2007 SP1 can only upgrade it to SP2 and install up until R2 only, because R3 is not free?---Packie

R2 was not free either. "R" releases always require SA. "SP" releases are free. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

This has been discussed quite often here in the forums. Haven't you used the search function? A very useful article is http://blogs.msdn.com/b/shitanshu/archive/2010/05/04/part-1-configuration-manager-r3-beta-deployment-in-microsoft-it.aspx (yes it talks about the beta version of R3, but the same steps are still applicable for RTM).Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
