How to Sort items such as "10-Reconciled using SSIS
hellO! I have a new challange. I have an Excel spreadsheet which I am importing into a Sort Component to sort by the primary key (CaseID, int) and also have a field called "Step Status" such as "10-Reconciled". The Step Status can be from zero 0 to ten 10 with a dash and then the Step description. "6-Listed for Sale" is another example of data in this Field. When I am importing the Spreadsheet into an OLE DB Destination I need to get rid of all Rows "8-Sales Offer" and higher. How can I keep from importing all 8-xxxx, 9-xxxx and 10-xxx using an SSIS component and only import 1-xxxx through 7-xxxxx. If anyone can just give me an idea I can implement it.... Thanks! Hi Mike, You would oad all data, and then use a conditional split to split the data into one output (that you ignore) containing the 8-xxx etc records, and send the other records in the default output. Frank

Hi Mike Kiser, I have done some RnD on this and comeup with this. Please check if this helps you. Explanation: 1. "Query - A" is my table with some data 2. "Query - B" is sorted version of the same data 3. "Query - B" has where clause where you can decide which records you want to remove from your resultset 4. "Query - B" - The value 100 is your column size Thanks, Khilit
