How to? OLAP Timesheet Cube reporting - Project server 2013

Hi there,

I recently upgraded our sharepoint and project server from 2003 to 2013 SP1. After a lot of digging, searching and nerves consumend, i realized that the old Data Analysis is gone forever. On another post, i asked how i could report the timesheet, and i was told that the closest thing to Data Analysis is OLAP Cube Reporting.

Now i configured the OLAP Cube in Sharepoint, and it works on a daily basis without error, i also added the Business inteligence subsite, but i can't for the life of me find the OLAP Timesheet Reports anywhere, not in Data Connections, not in Reports, not anywhere. I couldn't find anything on Microsoft's websites or other forums, so i have no idea how to make these Timesheet reports function.

Can someone show me step by step from the beginning how can i get reports on Timesheet using OLAP Cubes? (Work, Actual Work, etc.)

Thank you in advance.

So you don't see the Project Server - Timesheet Data file in Data Connections?

Here is where mine is located.

PWA > Business Intelligence Center > Site Content > Data Connections > English > Project Server Timesheet Data

Edit and open in Excel... Hope this helps a little.

I ended up remaking the PWA site. Now i can see it.

The problem is that now it says that i don't have access or the DB is not created. Any thoughts on the matter? I configured a PSDATAACCESS group in SQL and added my user but i think i may be missing something.....

Does your AD account have access to the OLAP cube with ProjectServerViewOlapDataRole role access? Typically you would add the Report Authors AD group to this role on the OLAP Cube database, for details see the two links below for setting up the reporting access in Project Server 2013:

I made the exact same step by step options but to no avail. However check this out.

In the Analysis Server there are no databases created at all. Even if it says build success in OLAP Database management. What should i do? In excel services i gave PSDataAccess the rights just like in that technet post, and i added my user to that group in AD. So whats going on?

Hello,

If the cube has been built on that SQL AS server I'd say the account you are using to access SQL Management Studio does not have the correct access to see the cube database.
