How to Export Report to Word Template for Custom Borders in SSRS 2008?
I have a Word template called Invoice.docx that has custom boarders. I want to export my report to the Word template. Can it be done or can I achieve my custom boarders another way?

Hi, If you export your report to Microsoft word your report will render in MS WORD file format, so you will have a word file as same as your report. Actually, we do not have so many options in SSRS to create custom borders, however, you can add some simple images to your report background to make it better. Note that, if your image size is too high it slows down the performance. CheersPlease Mark as Answer or Vote As Helpful if a post solves your problem. MCP, MCTS, MCITP

Hello, Report body and page background images and colors are not rendered if we export the report to word format. Here is an document for your reference, please see: Exporting to Microsoft Word: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd283105.aspx As SoheilBakhshi suggested above, you can design a similar report based on your custom invoice format. Then, we can directly export the report to Microsoft Word format. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
