How to Add the AD GUID into SCCM for reporting purposes
Howdy everyone,What I am trying to accomplish is creating a report in SCCM that includes the user information from AD along with the AD GUID for the user account. The reason is due to the way the accounts are used at the client site. The actual account name will change if a user moves to another physical site. So if Sally uproots from Dallas to LA, she would be moved to a new OU and her username which contains the site code will change from DAL to LAC. Sincethe GUID doesn't change I need to capture that in my SCCM report. Is there a view that contains this data, and if not how can I add it into the SCCM database? Is there a way to do it by extending the MOF?Is there another usable unique identifier that SCCM has for the end user that could be used instead?

AD User Discovery has Active Directory attribute tab. Add your new attribute there.

Hi Troy,You have to add it through your SCCM console (Site Database-->Site Management--><Site name>-->Site Settings-->Discovery Methods-->Active Directory User Discover-->Properties-->Active Directory Attributes). There is already a post in this forum on this regrad, which you can refer to.http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/configmgrinventory/thread/99dcaa72-6e6c-45bc-8f68-65f03c54f7adThe discovery may take some time depending on the Discover schedule...wait until he discovery is completed atleast once after you modify the attribute.Arun
