Data Protection Manager 2007: 100MB/sec (over GigE) GigE, Network, and Network Interface is usually the constraint. Also highly depends on the disk speeds. Our 12 disks SATA backup arrays only give us about 75MB/sec. Not sure if you're using DPM 2007 or 2012 but I suspect it's comparable. At 75 MB/second and 500 GB you're looking at just under 2 hours. How long does Data Protection Manager take to perform Backup and Restore of a MOSS 2007 installation with a Content Database of 500 GB? The restore will be to another Server than the current. Rough estimates are appreciated. Jonathan M Beck
