I have inherited a SharePoint Farm which has been modified greatly and I am in the process of getting it working again. One of the biggest problems has been the Document Conversion piece(DCLauncher and DCLoadBalancer). There isn't much in the way of detailed documentation about these services so I wanted to ask users in this forum if they could provide input about some of the settings used on their farm. I have 2 web front ends on seperate physical servers and an application on it's own server. The Document Conversion Load Balancer is on the Application server and the launchers are on the 2 front ends. Currently the HVU_<machinename> user is a member of the Guest group. On my home machine (which is everything on one server) the HVU_user is also a member of the MachineName\Domain User group. I'm wondering if it should also be a member of the Domain User group on our multi server setup? Thanks!
