How easy to inventory/retrieve hardware configurations from one or many remote servers(reporting) in SCCM's Powershell cmdlets

Hi guys,

I would like to know that how to retrieve hardware configuration from more than one remote servers(reporting) in SCCM cmdlets or powershell commands. I know that there is a easy way to do it using SCCM's UI. Out of curiosity, can we do this using powershell? I also heard that I can just query ConfigMgr's inventory data using SQL, can I see an example of this?

Here are a ton of example of querying CM SQL database. http://smsug.ca/tags/SQL/default.aspx

Hi,

You could have a look on the following script that gathers computer names from the AD containers you supply and then runs a hardware inventory and places the results in a CSV file.
