The dataflow task is loading data from a flat file then performing some character transformations on some of the data - then writing it to a database tableChuck Pedretti | Magenic North Region | magenic.com

The control flow is executing some sort of SQL Statement, if you believe the label that they put on it then it deletes some records (Delete Records) It runs the dataflow It executes another SQL Statement of some sort (Lookup) It performs a file system task of some sort - copys, deletes, moves a file It executes another SQL Statement of some sort - probabally a delete if you believe the label (Remove Duplicates) You really would need to double click on each one to see what it is actually configured to do.Chuck Pedretti | Magenic North Region | magenic.com

Does the 3rd task in control flow component takes data from data flow task? Does data flow from each task to preceding task in control flow component as if in Data flow task?Royal Thomas

Does the 3rd task in control flow component takes data from data flow task? Does data flow from each task to preceding task in control flow component as if in Data flow task? Royal Thomas Nope, the 3rd task is standalone. You can't directly access info from the dataflow in the control flow. Now the 3rd task might act on the table that was loaded by the dataflow.Chuck Pedretti | Magenic North Region | magenic.com
