How does client contacts/communicates with DP server

Hi All

I just want to confirm if my understanding about the communication between a client and DP is correct, kindly help:

> Client contacts assigned MP
> MP verifies the client IP with the boundary in SCCM. And gets the correct boundary association with DP.
> Based on the boundary verification MP provides the DP to be contacted.

If my above understanding is correct then what will happen if the DP protected to a particular IP boundary is down? Will all the clients in that boundary will be served by nearest DP in the network or its roadblock.

Thank you

If you specify a fallback for content, then the client will connect to the fallback DP.  If no fallback is specified, then the client will not be able to get content. . .unless of course there is another DP in that boundary group.
