How does FIM2010 manages the execution of the extension rules?
Hi fellows!! I only want to execute one extension rule in order to disable users in the target AD. Right now I see there are several dlls predefined: - ClmUtils.dll - ERPMAConfigParsers.dll - Logging.dll . . etc... If someday I need to create more extension rules.... + Will all of them be evaluated (executed) at once? + Is there a way to make sure only one extension rule is evaluated? Graciassss max

Those DLL's are not enabled until you use them... There are just made available... You set the MV Extension DLL in Tools, Options and the MA Extensions in each MA.Same as in MIIS/ILM... EricEric

Max you can write a rules extension to disable an AD account, or in our brave new world do this with codeless sync rules. If writing code, in general, you will create a single DLL per management agent. You can generate a template file from the ILM\FIM sync engine Identity Manager (select an MA and click the Create Extension Project - this project contains (among other entries) interfaces for cust import and export flow. The sync engine will load the assemblywhen it detects thata custom rule is going to be invoked. Once loaded, the assemblypersists in memory for some time in case it is needed again. There is no way to control the invocation of an indiviual ruleor the order of in which they are executed - but this is generally not an issue, what bring to to ask the question?RegardsSteve Mitchell Technical Director - Oxford Computer Group
