How do I use a custom function from a referenced assembly in a Report Model
I need to use a security filter in my Report Model to restrict results based on some properties of the logged-in user. However, the only functions I have available to use in the filter expression are GETUSERID and GETUSERCULTURE, so I'll need to use a custom function. I have found documentation that explains how to use custom functions in expressions within a report: Using Custom Code References in Expressions (Reporting Services) , but I can't work out how to do this for a Report Model, although I presume there must be a way, as without it the security filter functionality is almost useless. I have managed to add a reference to my custom assembly, by right clicking on the solution and using 'New Assembly Reference...', so now I have a reference within the solution, but the functions it contains don't seem to be available in the expression builder.
