How do I make a Data View Web Part Connect to another list?
I am trying to create a data view web part that will connect and send values to another web part. More specifically, I currently have a list on a page that connects to a media player web part we bought. When you select a list item, the video link in that list item plays in the media player (youtube videos, vimeo, etc.). The problem is, the url of the video needs to appear in the current view of the list in order for the media player to play the video. So my thought was to insert a data view web part to pass along url, while hiding it from the view. I have the data view web part in place, but i cannot seem to figure out how to get it to connect to the media player web part. I can get it to connect to the video list web part (itself connected to the media player web part), but it never gives me any radio buttons to select which item to send to the video list. Is there something in XSL that I need to include to get radio buttons to appear? or am I going about this the wrong way? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Have you tried opening the page with SharePoint Designer and then on the data view webpart itself, there should be an option for "Web Part Connections". Then follow the onscreen prompts.Regards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support
