How do I enforce a Monitor (Windows Event Reset) to look for a particular Server?
Please accept my apology, if this is an easy question with lots of background information. This is my first question. I've started to know and work with SCOM since Jan. 2011 and took 4 days Bootcamp in Feb. I am in charge of SCOM in our organization that has already been setup with hundreds of Monitors, Rules, and Overrides. Recently, one of the DNS server that Windows Event Reset monitors were referring to read / pull the Windows Event log for specific Event ID was decommissioned and new DNS Server is in place. Since then, SCOM is generating all kind of Health related problems. such as "Health Service Credential not Found". I checked the Event log on the target server and there are at least 2 Event ID 7016, 7015 that explains clearly that service accounts are lost their permissions to retrieve information from the Targer servers and/or Active Directory. How do I change the Monitor to point to new DNS server for Windows Event log, How Do I restore the lost permissions for Service accounts (svcOpsMgrDRead, svcOpsMgrDWWrite)?Dean_A
