Having an issue where users are seeing changes they didnt make recently on a list item alert.What are the parameters for how an alert is generated and how long a time period are the changes from?For example if I create an alert that shows view all changes I'll see strikethrus if something was deleted, how long are those alerts from?is it the last change, is it 24hours or some other time.thanksthemush

There is a setting in Central Admin for (all) Alerts. It says if these are immediate / daily etc.FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.

The only setting I can fins is alerts on/off.Can you tell me what these are under?

The user chooses the frequency when setting up the alert - ether immediately, daily summary or weekly summary. http://sharepointalert.info/2009/09/getting-started-with-sharepoint-alerts/ (see "When to send alert") To see a users alerts Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Administration > User Alerts Then select the user in question and it will show all the alerts they have setup and the frequency. thanks I under the frequency of the alert my question is about thealert email content. The users are getting emails where the entire content is strike-thrueven if only a small prtion was changed. Additionally the emails will show strike-thru content even if they werent changed recently. Is this normal?What would cause everything to be strike-thru If I have an immediate alert set are the changes I get in an email just the most recent or is it aggregated from a certain period of time.
