Hi FIM bffs!!! I am currently working with a flat file containing 4,000 users and publishing those users to an AD. FIM2010RC1 ans SQL server share the same box (4GB RAM, Quadcore AMD opteron 2.10 GHZ) FIM2010RC1 is taking a little more that 3 hours to insert those users (as "person" objects) into its FIM database. So, I am worried as I will be working with files with 70,000 users or so. I have performed the following actions: o Turned off Full Text Search as recommended in FIM documentation. o Disabled transaction log on tempdb, FIMService and FIMSync databases. o Growth data and log files for tempdb, FIMService and FIMSync databases. + What else am I lacking??? + Is there any option on the portal to improve performance? + How can I disable the tracing log?? Or is it normail for FIM to take more than 3 hours to load 4,000 users to the MV for the first time?? I am using the SQL Profiler to analyze this issue. It seems FIM service is executing store procedures that are taking long time to execute. + Is this perfomance related to the SRs, MPs or Workflows??? You can also pre-allocate space on the DB and make sure that the DB and the Transacation logs are on seperate drive spindles... Standard SQL Performance stuff... EricEric
