My scenary is the follow: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 in Mixed Mode... i nedd install a branch distribution point for deploy packages in the branch Office, I investigate the procedure is: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632651.aspx , However I wonder if the branch distribution point can be installed on a computer running windows 7 or if you have to necessarily be a server? I understand that the idea of setting up branch distribution point is to have a computer in which to download installation packages and deploy them from that distribution point. The branch distribution point must be installed directly in the sccm console, or must be installed on the computer that will be branch distribution point?
