Hotfix question

Hello,

I have SCCM 2012 R2 currently installed.   What is the recommendation for service packs, hot fixes, etc. to resolve issues?  Please advise.

Thanks,

Reez

Hotfixes and CUs are designed to address specific bugs, etc.  CUs additionally will add new functionality.  My recommendation is to always apply the latest CU.  Standard caveats about testing the CU first apply.

R2 CU4 is the lastest.

Concur with Jeff. Also note that CU4 is currently the latest CU for R2: http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3026739

Also take note of the community maintained wiki at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/9539.sccm-2012-list-of-public-microsoft-support-knowledge-base-articles.aspx that aims to keep track of all publically released KBs (including those related to CUs and hotfixes).

Thanks for the info -- one more question -- I do not have SCCM Service Pack 1 installed with SCCM 2012 R2 -- so is the best course of action installing SCCM Service Pack 1 first and then CU4?   Thoughts?  Please advise on what you recommend.  I appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Service Pack 1 is the release before R2.  If you have R2 installed, all you need to do is install CU4.
