Hotfix KB 2489004
Do I need to apply Hotfix KB248904 on my Primary server if the version is SCCM 2007 R3. Or to aks another way does R3 already include support for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 2008 R2 SP1 clients?

Hello - I think, KB 2489044 is required for SCCM R3 primary servers as well. See, http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2009/09/14/new-configmgr-2007-kb-update-rollup-for-system-center-configuration-manager-2007-sp1-to-add-support-for-windows-server-2008-r2-and-windows-7-clients.aspxAnoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, This update should be installed on your site server (ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 even if it is not R2 or R3) if you want to add W7SP1/2008R2SP1 to supported platforms, after that the software distribution, the software update mgmt and the DCM will support these OS.
