High memory usage by the Svchost.exe - Windows Management Instrumentaion process

Hello

For the past few days i notice that my laptop uses almost 95% RAM during startup. And the memory usage remains high for the next few minutes making it impossible to do other work smoothly. When i checked my PC, i found that the Svchost.exe is the process which eats too much memory. Resource Monitor reports that the netsvcs process with the PID 528 is the top resource hogger. That PID corresponds to Windows Management Instrumentaion process in task manager.

I tried the hotfix from microsoft but it didnt help. That was not applicable to my system.

My PC Configuration: Intel Core i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz, 4.00 GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Basic SP1 (OEM Version)

Can anyone shed some light on this and help me fix it. Here are the screenshots from the task manager for your reference.

Hi mmadhankumar,

"I tried the hotfix from microsoft but it didnt help. That was not applicable to my system."
What is the hotfix you have tried?
We can try to apply the following hotfix to have a check. It is applied to Windows 7 Home Basic. To get a better performance of the machine, please always keep it up to date.
High memory usage by the Svchost.exe process after you install Windows Management Framework 3.0 on a Windows-based computer

We can try to perform a clean boot to verify whether it is caused by third party services.
