Hide Title-Column from Document Information Panel?
I have created some content types and addes a word template to this. When I click the new button in a document library, Word will open the document information panel and show the columns. I wanted to hide the default "Title" column in the DIP, so I changed the column setting to be "Hidden". However the "Title"-field still shows in the DIP. Is this to be expected? I have another column set to hidden and this column is now hidden in the DIP?

When you create or edit a content type, you can create a custom DIP. In your custom DIP you can delete or hide the Title. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms550037.aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms563688.aspx Serge

Yes, thank you. I know how to create a custom DIP. But, why is it that the Title field does not hide automatically? Is this normal? Or did I make an installation error? thanks
