I have a tab at top of my page. The tab links to a site. I want to either hide or temporarily disable the tab so that users will not be able to go to the site as it is not completed yet. Anyone know how to do this ? J.

Not sure what you mean. Are you having a (sub) site that should only be visible to some but not all ? what do you mean by tab ? For a subsite to only be visible for a few users, there are two options 1 create a new site, but turn on the options : Use unique permissions , only add users who should see this site 2 break inheritance : site actions > Site settings > Advanced permissions > Action > Edit permissions, remove all unwanted users/groups and add users/group that need to see this site only users that have rights to this , will see the site including the everywhere in the navigationThanks & Regards, Neerubee

If your talking about the top avigation and you are using a TeamSite then you can remove the Link from your TopLink Bar - Go to Site Settings > Top Link Bar (_layouts/topnav.aspx). If your using a site with the publishing feature activated then Go to Site Settings > Modify Navigation (_layouts/AreaNavigationSettings.aspx) and hide the link -Ivan Ivan Sanders My LinkedIn Profile, My Blog, @iasanders.
