Is there any way of hiding libraries from Office, e.g. Word, Save As? for instance, whilst I want users to be able to Read Site Pages I do not want Site Pages to appear in the Word Save As dialog.
Hope this helps others looking.
I've tried changing the permission of the library so that users do not have access but they still see the library in Word Save As (clicking on it gives a logon challenge).
I've also tried updating the properties of the library via powershell, e.g. $library.Properties["vti_winfileattribs"]="00000016" but whilst this works for WebDAV it doesn't hide it from Save As.
Looking like this is not possible? Any suggestions for things to try would be appreciated :)

Hi,
You could use the following method to disable Office client integration, so that users cannot save documents from Office client applications. As I tested, once I enter the site's path, and Office Word returns "The file name is not valid".
Open Central Administration > Application Management > select the web application which you need to disable client integration > Security tab > Authentication Providers > Default > uncheck the option Enable Client Integration.
You can also use permission policy alternatively, please refer more in the article:
